That's Jackie Fox with her beautiful award winning quilt. Jackie appliqued this beauty and I custom quilted it in January 2026.
This beautiful quilt is owned by Cheri Piles of the Studio 103 quilt shop in Ketchikan, Alaska. It won the Judge's Choice Award in the February 2026 Quilting in the Rain quilt show. Pieced by Sarah Corporon and custom quilted by me, Hannelore.
My customer wrote to me, “Congratulations! Please note the blue ribbon - first place in mid pieced category. Excellent quilting design & technique. Lauren Kingsland, Judge. She teaches quilting and the History and Handling of Gees Bend Quilts for the Smithsonian.”
This wallhanging was designed, pieced, appliquéd, and quilted by me, Hannelore. I think it took about a year to pull it all together. A fun piece that won 1st place in it’s category.
This little wallhanging was so much fun to create. It started out as a class at a local quilt shop on quilting small faces. Well, my creative bug took over and I added the feathers, bling, tablecloth, and of course the wine. Because, you know, “Wine is Fine”. :-)
This beautiful quilt is a Bonnie Hunter design called Turkey Trot. It’s queen size with thousands of pieces, all scrappy. I pieced this quilt before I had even thought about long arming myself. So this quilt was quilted by a friend.
